Bacterial infections are a common problem in clinical practice. Resistance to conventional antibiotics has driven the search for safe, natural alternatives. Honey, a natural product with antibacterial properties, has been used medicinally since the dawn of human history. This study evaluated the minimum concentration of honey that suppresses the growth of Escherichia coli DH5-alpha bacterium. The results show that a 10 % honey concentration can inhibit the growth of E. coli on LB agar and in LB liquid broth.
