Two species of the genus Pinguicula had been reported: P. oblongiloba and P. moranensis in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Corroborate the presence of both species in Aguascalientes and to make known their distribution, morphology and some of their floral visitors are the main objective. The herbarium of the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes was consulted to identify localities where specimens of the genus Pinguicula have been collected, with which a distribution map was prepared and two sites were selected to capture floral visitors: the Agua Zarca biological station, in San José de Gracia and Los Alamitos, in Calvillo. In Aguascalientes, the genus Pinguicula is represented by P. oblongiloba, which has been registered in the municipalities of Calvillo and San José de Gracia, from 2000 to 3000 m.o.s.l. A total of eight different floral visitors were identified, mainly lepidoptera of the families Hesperiidae, Pieridae, Nymphalidae and Lycaenidae, diptera belonging to the family Bombyliidae and the genus Dipalta, and coleoptera, belonging to the family Curculionidae. This is the first work on the biology of P. oblongiloba in Aguascalientes, but more studies are needed to determine other aspects such as its pollinators and main prey.
